Today is our 1st Wedding Anniversay! The year has gone by so quickly it just does not seem possible. This morning Harry gave me a lovely gift of "paper", tickets for a trip to Rome! Seeing as today is also Chinese New Year, I am being treated to a very special Chinese meal later!

They say time flies by, and goodness it certainly does, I cannot believe that just a year ago we were planning our wedding, the first ever on The Bear Club! Now it looks as if there is to be another such event! Congratulations Gregory and Burnie!

Think we have finally got all the pictures of the Halloween Party sorted out and on the web site. I really like the one of the broomstick flying lessons!
Freddie is off for a holiday soon, but has asked to remind you about the forthcoming Christmas Event ....... which will include Christmas Even in Lapland, Christmas Day at The Chalet, Boxing Day messing around in the snow and New Year's Eve in Scotland.
No doubt there will be much more about this when Freddie gets home again at the beginning of December.

Broomstick Fleet Picture Description |
Pilot Bear has just called home to say the flying lessons are going well, and he thinks the Bear Broomstick Fleet will be ready to collect bears wanting to come along to our Halloween Party next weekend. If you are coming, or would like to, do remember to send in your picture and blog! Don't worry if you haven't a suitable outfit, we can always find you something!!

Did you know there is a restaurant called The Bear Club?
Although nowadays it is known as Jon's Bear Club. Started out back in 1935 behind a grocery store in Reedley, California, serving beer and wine.
Over the years it has grown, moved and moved again, finally being sold to the chef, Jon and wife Deanna, in 1985.
In 1998 five guest chefs were asked to create a dining celebration for the restaurants 25th Anniversary at its present location. The event, a "black tie" affair, raised thousands of pounds for a children's wheel chair charity, founded by Jon's sister.

Sorry it has taken so long. Afraid that's down to Freddie and Boris messing about with Mom's computer. But we will not go into that, only to say that Boris's saving are now down to a big zero.
